Meet our Ministers
Minister for Charity & Prime Minister
As Minister of Charity I would like to help pupils in our school feel they CAN ‘make a difference.’ I am so happy that I will get to support and help organise events that children across the school can take part in, so they can fundraise for many charities. I am very excited to be a part of the ‘Mustard Seeds’ group and proud of our school links to Tisai Island Council, who we have supported and funded for a number of years.
Minister for Equality & Deputy Prime Minister
As minister of equality and being a diversity defender, I know I want to make a difference, to make an IMPACT in our school, to allow everyone to feel they are always treated equally and fairly. It is really important to me that people aren’t discriminated against by their: gender, age, religion, race or sexuality. I am excited to raise awareness about this and lead whole school events in our school this year.
Minister for Wellbeing
I feel overjoyed to have been announced as the Minister of Wellbeing. This will be my second year as a school Mental Health Champion which I am very proud of. I want to ensure nobody in school ever feels left out or worried – but if they, they know there are always children who will be there for them and listen. I want them to know a member of the Mental Health Champion Team WILL BE THERE!
Minister for Reading
The moment it was announced I was the new Minister of Reading I felt extremely honoured. I will make a difference by helping children who are struggling to read. Alongside our team of Librarians I will make sure the school libraries are tidy and have great choices of texts. I am also very excited to help organise World Books Day, Campfire reading and bedtime stories. Together we will make a difference!
Minister for Worship
As a member of our new Pupil Chaplain group I am so proud to be chosen as our school’s Minister of Worship. I want to make everyone feel comfortable in our school no matter their religion and to create calm places for children to reflect, explore and ask questions about the different faiths within out school and the world. I am very excited to be on Pupil Parliament and be a Pupil Chaplain.
Minister of Culture
I was so happy to be appointed as a Language Ambassador, but to be the Minister for Culture is something I am so excited about – it is a leadership position I have always wanted since being a Year 3! I am looking forward to leading our school events, especially our Day of Culture! I will do my best to make everyone feels their culture in school is celebrated and help promote learning Spanish in our school.
Minister for the Environment
When I was chosen as Minister of Environment I felt so proud to be able to represent school! I want to promote awareness of the positive and negative impact we can have on our planet, to make sure we are making the best decisions for our earth and to ensure that the nature and animals within our school grounds continue to thrive!
Minister for E-Safety
The moment my name was called I was so surprised and pleased to be the Minister of E-Safety. I love computing and want everyone who goes online to be SAFE! I want to be able to bring an greater level of awareness about E-Safety in our school and for children when they are at home.
Minister for Sport
I feel very happy and proud to be our new Minister of Sport. I want everyone to feel that sport can be for them and to enjoy chances to try lots of different types of sports. Along with all of the Sports Leaders we want to use our specialist training session that we have had to help children be active in school.
