Digital Leaders
At St. Peter’s, our Digital Safety Leaders demonstrate a strong commitment to e-safety and technology. The children come together to enhance their understanding and engage in discussions about emerging issues and risks online that impact our school community. They have the responsibility to promote safe internet practices both within school and at home by developing and sharing their ‘Top Tips’ – look out for these in our school Inform Newsletter!
As well as this, they are responsible for ensuring our range of computing equipment is stored appropriately and that our fantastic computing suite is maintained in a neat and tidy condition.
Every February, we celebrate Safer Internet Day, which aims to raise awareness of a safer and better internet for all, especially young people. As part of this day, our Digital Safety Leaders deliver a whole school assembly based around an annual theme. Our upcoming theme in 2025 is based around ‘Keeping yourself and others safe from scams online’.
Previous themes have included:
2024: Making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online.
2023: Making space for conversations about life online.
2022: Exploring respect and relationships online.
