Uniform
Children’s clothing should be chosen to suit their working conditions and weather conditions en route. Hard wearing, easily cleaned materials should be chosen of a style that allows the child to begin to take care in his/her appearance whilst remaining comfortable. Health and safety concerns should always guide your choice and therefore high heels, jewellery and hair adornments are not permitted in school. Any hair which is below shoulder length should be tied back – this applies to boys as well as girls.

Owing to limited cloakroom space a draw-string bag to store P.E. clothing is most important.
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING ARE LABELLED WITH FULL NAME & CLASS
May we remind parents:
- Hair accessories should be practical for school, neutral or in school colours.
- Jogging bottoms are welcome to supplement PE kit but do not replace trousers or skirts.
- No branded football kits
- Earrings if worn should be plain studs.
- No other jewellery unless it is faith related and a parent has specified this.
- Nail varnish is not to be worn.
Items of school clothing are available via the school office.
If you are unsure of sizing please ask and we will be happy to offer clothing to try for size.

Please log into Parentpay to order & pay for your purchases or visit the School office on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
We have a pre-loved uniform trolley located in the year 5 cloakroom where items of clothing can be purchased for as little as £1.00 per item. The trolley is put outside the school office on a regular basis, but it can be accessed at any time when required by asking at the school office.
We also encourage parents to check out the 'Ruddington Recycle' Facebook Group which often has second-hand uniform available for free of charge.
