Dear parents and carers,
As your child is self-isolating, we would like to direct you to our remote learning curriculum.
Your child’s remote learning curriculum can be found here…
If your child is well enough, we would encourage them to engage with this as their primary source of home learning. This is so that any learning gaps are kept to a minimum during this time.
Our advice is for your child to complete one Writing/ Reading lesson, one Maths lesson and two other subjects (Humanities, Science, RE, Music or PSHE) each day. These should be taken from the Autumn 1 section of the overview.
Each lesson is very clear about what your child will need at the start. For most there are minimal additional materials required, usually just a pen and some paper. All lessons contain a pre-recorded video with explanations from a teacher. This is supported with a combination of other elements to help learning - a starter quiz, a finishing quiz, and an independent activity, often with a worksheet. Each are tailored to the specific lesson to make sure they're suitable for the subject and year group.
Each lesson is a pre-recorded video with a teacher who takes pupils through each section step-by-step. The level of supervision has been designed to be minimal, although that will depend on the age of the learner. Each lesson can be paused and rewound to help students learn at their own pace.
Your child’s class teacher would love to see what they have produced and we ask that, each day, a photo is taken of one piece of work that your child would like some feedback on and sent via SeeSaw.
If your child does not have access to the internet or technology needed, please let us know and we will provide an alternative.
